The ECHO Music Festival

Hare Krsna Prabhus,

At the ECHO project in Atlanta { a big 3 day music concert } I
met 6 or 7 people at the camp sitting in a circle beside their cars.
I started to present the books to them, when one of them started to
call for another guy who was resting in the tent: " Hello Brian, here is
the monk with his books." And he told me: " He got one of your books
some time ago."
A tall guy with a cowboy hat appeared and with slow speech started to
tell me:"I met you 2 years ago at Bonnaroo, and you gave me Bhagavad-gita."
I told him that it was not me who gave him the Gita. But he insisted that I
was that person.
After some time he said: " No, I am just kidding." And he started to
describe Vijaya Prabhu.
He said: "Two years ago I met him at the Bonnaroo concert. He
approached me from 100 meters, all the time just looking at me. Many people
were walking between us here and there, but he came right up to me.
He approach me with shining eyes and showed me the Gita. He showed me
the picture of the changing bodies, and he was speaking to me in a very
convincing way. I was completely impressed by him."
I told him: "Oh, I know him very well; he is an advanced person in
our Society."
He praised him again and again. He gave me 10$ for two big books
while I was explaining to him how Vijaya has maintained very good sadhana
for many years and he is a very nice and special person.
I asked him: "Would you like me to give him your e-mail? He gave me
his e-mail, and at that time one girl from the group also enthusiastically
asked for some books, and she also gave me a donation.
I asked Brian, what he thinks about the music and the concert. He said:
"I don't like those monkeys." He started to explain the difference
between monkeys and humans.
I was convinced that he had read the Gita thoroughly, and at the end I
went to another tent, thinking how not only the books are preaching, but
also devotees by their nice behaviour, like Vijaya Prabhu.
